An Interactive Online Toolkit

to help school leaders systematically support ongoing teacher learning, beginning with the newest faculty.

Why focus on ongoing teacher learning? And why start with new teacher induction? Because teaching is complex, intellectual work. Most teachers learn how to teach on the job, and they are constantly refining their skills and knowledge. The culture and supports available at the school deeply impact the teachers they become. When school leaders think deeply about the needs of new teachers, and put in place the conditions that will help them succeed, their schools become good places for all teachers to learn.

This community of educators has become a community of learners. ... People are more collaborative. People are more willing to teach in a different way. People are more reflective than they have ever been.
— Bil Zarch, Head of the Lander-Grinspoon Academy,

We’ve changed our name!

The Induction Partnership Project has a new name: The Teacher Learning Project. Strong systems of new teacher induction create opportunities for all teachers to learn and grow, and we decided that our name should better capture that link. What do strong systems of induction look like? Click here.
